The Democrat-controlled Constitution and Elections Committee in the Alabama House of Representatives made efforts this week to move Alabama from a red to purple state.

According to annual Campaign Finance Records filed with the Alabama Secretary of State's office, Rep. Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn) was the top fundraiser among all Members of the Alabama House of Representatives. The report covers the time period from the last election in 2006 through December 31, 2009.
